To celebrate (finally) having hot water in my home, I took a break from home repair last week to pop into Starbucks. (Something I never do.) Why? Because of unicorns.
That's right. I went against my better judgement and bought into the fancy unicorn drink craze along with all the other food bloggers and Instagramers. What can I say? It's pretty, and I'm a sucker.
So, how was it?
For every Oreo disappointment, there is a Reese's that raises the bar. Well, kind of. Reese's plays it pretty safe when it comes to their flavors.
They have a combination that people love, and when something isn't broke, you don't fix it. More-so than playing with flavoring switch ups, they have been playing with added textures. First, it was the addition of their Reese's pieces to their peanut butter cups, and now it's cookie bits.
But wait, is this really NEW?
As most of you know, I recently moved, and during the packing process I found a TON of old food I never got around to. Being the frugal foodie*cough**cough* HOARDER *cough*you all know I am, I figured I'd enjoy a bit of Christmas in July for today's #throwbackthursday, before I end up shoving these in a cabinet and forget they exist. (Again.)
'Tis the season to be BASIC, fa la la la la...Well, not really.
Basic weather has come and gone, and Christmas is literally this weekend, but I am way behind on my food blogging, so we're going to dive into some overdue pumpkin spice reviews on today's #TBT.
I don't want to adult anymore! Sorry for the sporadic update schedule. I'm house hunting for place closer to work (to lessen my nearly 2-hour daily drive) and it's been eating up whatever free time (and sanity) I have left when I leave my 9-5. Fingers crossed that I find a place soon, but for now I'm taking a break from Adulting. For the next hour or two I'm going to sit back, put on some Netflix, and eat a box of Twinkies. I bought these a few months ago, and the cycle of food products have already replaced them with a slew of spooky new treats, so I'm counting this as a #tbt. (But next week's #tbt is going to have a little more...Spice.)
It's still warm outside and technically summer, but I'm still going to count this as a #tbt anyway because it's been sitting in my to-be-reviewed-pile for months.
