Gone Too Soon, My Favorite Discontinued Products - Part 1

Snyder's of Hanover Brick Oven Pizza Pretzel Sandwiches
: 2017- 2020

Link to my Review

The item that triggered this entire post! I loved these pretzel sandwiches, they were bold and flavorful, and were what I remember pizza Combos tasting like as a kid. These were actually recommended to me by a reader, and were available for about three years, but they were fairly hard to find. As of today, Snyder's confirmed (via tweet) that these are officially gone. I am heartbroken. You can still buy bags online from Amazon, but scalpers are upping the prices fast. I don't have any comparable product to this, you could say there are still Pizza Combos, but they really don't taste as good as you remember. They're so dry, and honestly the pizza flavor are hard to find these days as well. (Are they next on the chopping block?)

That's My Jam!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Puffs - Aldi
I don't like eating actual peanuts, or spoonfuls of PB straight from the jar, but peanut butter breakfast cereal? That's my Jam
Speaking of jam (segues are hard), I'm a strawberry kind of girl, and while the combination of strawberry and peanut butter was a rarity in my childhood, in recent years, we've gone through a strawberry-based PB&J renaissance. We've had strawberry and PB Pop-Tarts, Skippy Minis and fruits bites, snack bars, m&m's, Greek yogurt, and more...but sadly, a lot of these products were either limited edition, or discontinued far too soon. (R.I.P. PB&J Pop-Tarts.)
A perfect example of this is the Jif PB and strawberry breakfast cereal. It was released back in 2015 and, although I didn't get the chance to try it for myself, Cerealously spoke very highly of it. Thankfully, Aldi swooped into the food-flavor graveyard and stole the concept for itself. (Just like it did with the cheesy garlic bread potato chips Lay's abandoned.)
So, without futher delay let's examine this re-animated breakfast-food corpse!

Trader Joe's Peanut Butter & Jelly Yogurt - Trader Joe's: Marlton, NJ

Trader Joe's Peanut Butter & Jelly Yogurt - Trader Joe's: Marlton, NJ
Oh hey, it's that thing I saw on the internet!

Greek yogurts are still super popular, and I'm slowly but surely being converted to the Greek side with their yummy cinnamon bun, rhubarb, watermelon, and banana flavorings, so I just had to give this a try. I mean it's a yogurt flavored like a sandwich? As a food blogger I'd feel like a failure if I didn't check something like this out. Plus I pass Trader Joe's on my way home from work every single day. It's a sign. I had to have to yogurt.
