Raisin & Brown Sugar Chobani Oats - Target: Cherry Hill, NJ

Raisin & Brown Sugar Chobani Oats - Target: Cherry Hill, NJ
It didn't happen overnight, but I am slowly being converted to the Greek side. (Meaning Greek yogurt.) For the longest time Greek yogurt has been dominating the foodie world, and I still don't get it. Why is everyone so stuck on consuming massive amounts of protein? I'm not on a diet, and although I don't eat all much meat, I'm not protein deficit. So do I really need my yogurt to have protein in it?

Bananas Foster Greek Yogurt- Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ

Bananas Foster Greek Yogurt- Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ
Aldi came out with a bunch of fancy Greek yogurts this month, and I bought every single one. As much as I hate to admit it, I'm slowly but surely joining the cult of Greek yogurt addicts. All of the fancy flavors and things to review are Greek these days, so there's really no avoiding it from a food blogger standpoint, but it really is growing on me.

Enough rambling, let's see if this yogurt is as "indulgent" as it claims to be.

Trader Joe's Peanut Butter & Jelly Yogurt - Trader Joe's: Marlton, NJ

Trader Joe's Peanut Butter & Jelly Yogurt - Trader Joe's: Marlton, NJ
Oh hey, it's that thing I saw on the internet!

Greek yogurts are still super popular, and I'm slowly but surely being converted to the Greek side with their yummy cinnamon bun, rhubarb, watermelon, and banana flavorings, so I just had to give this a try. I mean it's a yogurt flavored like a sandwich? As a food blogger I'd feel like a failure if I didn't check something like this out. Plus I pass Trader Joe's on my way home from work every single day. It's a sign. I had to have to yogurt.

Raspberry & Chocolate Parfait Greek Yogurt - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ

Raspberry & Chocolate Parfait Greek Yogurt - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ
So the last item I reviewed was a bust. Never again will I ever buy grape flavored yogurt, it just isn't for me. To reward myself for making it through that review, I thought I'd treat myself  to another yogurt, but this time it's something that's a bit more my speed.

Chobani Concord Grape Limited Batch Greek Yogurt - Walmart: Berlin, NJ

Chobani Concord Grape Limited Batch Greek Yogurt - Walmart: Berlin, NJ
It's been a while since I reviewed a Chobani flavor, I think the last one I did was the deliciously refreshing Watermelon last August, and I saw that there are currently two new flavors in their Limited Batch line, Green Tea and Concord Grape. I'm sure those some like amazing flavors to some of you, but to me, they are foodie nightmare-fuel. I am not a fan of grape flavored anything due to my childhood experiences with grape flavored medicine, and green tea is a little too earthy for my tastes. (I prefer black tea.) Neither of these appealed to me personally, but my curiosity got the better of me. After all, I've never had a grape flavored yogurt before. Maybe it could be amazing! I decided to take a risk on this one and into my handcart it went.

Limited Edition Yoplait Cinnamon Roll Greek Yogurt - Walmart: Berlin,NJ

Limited Edition Yoplait Cinnamon Roll Greek Yogurt - Walmart: Berlin,NJ
There have been so many new yogurts released this month, I wasn't sure where I should start, but when I saw this, I new I had to try it. Cinnamon buns are one of my favorite sweets. When they are soft, and warm, and when the icing is still all runny, they turn any bad day into a good one. I rarely get to have them, and I've been craving one really badly, so let's see if this Greek yogurt can satisfy my stomach. (That's what these are meant to do, right? They act as a healthier alternative to eating the real deal. So I'll put it to the test today.)

Oikos Pumpkin Pie Greek Yogurt - Target: Cherry Hill, NJ

Oikos Pumpkin Pie Greek Yogurt - Wegman's: Cherry Hill, NJ
I still don't really understand the obsession behind Greek yogurt, but every yogurt brand came out with a Greek seasonal flavor, and with all of my pumpkinpocalypse reviews, it was only a matter of time before I reviewed one of them. Since I enjoyed the Bananas Foster flavor I reviewed a few days ago, I decided to go with Oikos' pumpkin pie yogurt.

Oikos Bananas Foster Greek Yogurt - Wegman's: Cherry Hill, NJ

Oikos Bananas Foster Greek Yogurt  - Wegman's: Cherry Hill, NJ
I know that Greek Yogurt has been all the rage these last two years, but I'm still on the fence about it. Sure, I've enjoyed a few flavors that I've reviewed on this blog but, when given the choice between strawberry Greek yogurt and a normal strawberry yogurt, I'd go for the normal. Greek yogurt tends to be especially tangy, it has a thicker consistency, and (other than the Watermelon variety that came out this summer) I haven't found a flavor of Greek yogurt that I've enjoyed more than other types of yogurt. With that being said, banana yogurt is my hands down favorite flavor of yogurt, so I really wanted to see if this Banana's Foster version could win me over and convert me to the protein-filled Greek-side.

Chobani Watermelon Limited Batch Greek Yogurt - Walmart

Chobani Watermelon Limited Batch Greek Yogurt - Walmart
Summer is quickly disappearing and the fall food items are already showing up on the shelves, so I better start cranking out these summery food reviews fast! (I have quite the backlog of summer and limited edition items I gotta write up but, as I said in my last post, the PUMPKINING is upon us!) Where did the time go? It's cliche, because everyone says it,  but I really feel like summer flew by. I haven't even been to the beach once this year! Also, it's freaking AUGUST, why is pumpkin spice everything back already? Don't mistake me for a pumpkin spice hater, my 2012 and 2013 pumpkin galleries are proof enough that I am a fall-foodie lover, but this is pretty ridiculous.

Enough rambling, it's time to review something summery and relatively healthy, watermelon flavored Greek yogurt!

What's New at Aldi!

Fancy pastas with various dried spices and herbs!
The Impulsive Buy is awesome, and I love their Spotted on the Shelves posts, but they don't cover Aldi items. Even if they did, I doubt they would be interested in any of these. Since I am aldi obsessed, I think I might try and turn this into a monthy post. (We'll see what happens.)
Alright, let's see whats new at Aldi!

NEW at Aldi: Blood Orange Greek Yogurt

Blood Orange Green Yogurt Aldi

While I was picking up my weekly staples at Aldi I noticed that there's a new flavor of Greek Yogurt! I picked up one to review, so that'll be posted later this month. (I hope it's good.)

This is a special buy item, so who knows how easy it'll be to find, or if it'll stick around, so get it while you can~!
