Coca-Cola Tic Tacs

Six years. That's how long it's been since I posted a Tic-Tac review. It was the 2017 Minions re-release, because they were finally banana-flavored. (The 2015 version was passion fruit for reasons I will never understand.) So to say, "It's been a minute," would be an understatement. 

Like most millennials I grew up with a pack in my pocket, and pretended they were medicine, a totally normal and healthy thing for a child to do. But as the early 2000's obsession with all things minty-fresh ended, I found myself reaching for them less and less. It's time to check in and see what they're up to.

Banana Minion Tic-Tacs - Gift

Everything is right with the world. Novelty Minion Tic-Tacs are now banana flavored. We can all go on with the rest of our lives.

Sarcasm aside, it did bother me that Minion Tic-Tacs were banana flavored everywhere else in the world, except for America. It was one of the biggest talking points in my 2015 review. For some reason, we got passion fruit, and they were awful. It seems that Tic-Tac got the message. Behold, banana Tic-Tacs!

More outdated candies from my food stash! This pack of Tic-Tacs was given to me as a gift way back in October, and I just never got around to reviewing them. I recently found them hiding out in one of my purses, so why not review them?

Minion candy makes sense. We've had Minion Peeps, Minion Mike & Ike's, and now Minion Tic-Tacs, but a Minion Swiffer duster? That's where I draw the line. Seriously, this is getting out of hand. Why is there a cleaning product tie-in with this movie? I brought this up to Cybele during our last Candyology101 recording and she thought it might be a way to trick kids into cleaning, maybe that's their angle, but I don't understand who at marketing was like, "Yep, that's brilliant! Pack 'em up and ship 'em out!"

I may not be behind every Minion product that's available, but these Tic-Tacs are something special.

Tic-Tac Be Mine Mix - Target: Marlton, NJ

Let me start out by saying that neither of these flavors are new. Wild cherry was released as a stand alone flavor back in 2011, and strawberry has been in a few mixes since it's release, including the Strawberry Fields and Strawberry Fusion.  I picked this up because 1) it was on sale and 2) I've never reviewed either of these flavors before. Well, I guess I kind of reviewed cherry back in July with Tic-Tac's Summer Ice Pop mix, but maybe there's a difference between normal cherry and wild cherry? I very much doubt it, but I figured these were cheap enough to take the risk.

The flavors may not be new, but at the very least, I had fun photographing them.
