Ultimate Mystery - Coke Creations: Ultimate

"Ultimate," the newest flavor in Coke's Creations line, has been released, and the novelty of these whimsical concept-based soda flavors still draws me in like a moth to the flame.

This flavor is branded with a video game theme, more specifically, League of Legends (abbreviated as, "LoL." No joke.)

Arcane, the Netflix series, is loosely based on the characters from LoL, and I really liked it, but from what I understand, the plot of the show has nothing at all to do with the gameplay, and from the looks of it, neither does this soda.

Space Bird Burgers, in Chip-form - Wavy Halo Moa Burger Pringles

Wavy Moa Burger
-Walmart
Just finished working an 11 hour shift, but I didn't want that to wreck my (mostly) consistent review posting streak. That said, I'm going to try and keep this one pretty short and please excuse any typos. I am very, very tired. Perhaps some extra calories will perk me up.

This "limited" item has been out for quite some time now, and since I know next to nothing about Halo, and have been burned by a lot of limited edition Pringles flavors in the past, I was going to skip it. But I had to run out to Walmart for kitty litter and just so happened to see this on an end cap and thought, why not?

Let's kick things off with a quick google search, "What is a Moa burger?"

Yoshi Island Gummy Egg - J-Box

Yoshi Island Gummy Egg - J-Box
I posted a little teaser of this over on my Instagram a few days ago. I said it once and I'll say it again, I freaking love Yoshi's Island. I grew up with the original NES, which my mother and grandmother played while I was a baby (That's right, they're that cool.), and when I was older, I had my own SNES with a handful of games. I had Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, and Super Mario World 2, also known as Yoshi's Island. That's it. I would play these games over and over trying to get everything on each level, I'm a total completionist, and I couldn't of been happier.

Pixel Link Cake - Homemade

Pixel Link Cake - Homemade
My boyfriend and I attended Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses tonight, so I made this cake to celebrate.

This was my first time making marshmallow fondant, and it came together very easily. I will say that working with it was almost a nightmare. It was very sticky and difficult to cut, plus the colors started to bleed into my white cake icing. It tasted much better than fondants I have used in the past, but I wouldn’t recommend it for 8-bit figures.

Although my little cake is a little wonky, it was pretty damn tasty.

Normal foodie reviews will resume tomorrow. Have a great night!

Nintendo Candies - Dollar General : Cinnaminson, NJ

Nintendo Candies - Dollar General : Cinnaminson, NJ
Since I don’t have the main package, tonight’s post is a mini review on this novelty Nintendo product. Originally I wasn’t going to do one on this, but I was so impressed by the detail in these candies I decided to do one anyway.

Pac-Man Power Up Energy Drink - Five Below : The Gallery, Philadelphia, PA

Power Up Energy Drink
- Five Below : The Gallery, Philadelphia, PA
I finally got to see Wreck it Ralph the other night, and I thought… what better time to review these drinks?
Today I’ll be trying Pac-Man Power Up Energy Drink.
Everything about this can’s design is so nostalgic and sweet, it makes me want to go play the game! (I own the old school Nintendo version and a Plug-n-play version.) The can features Inky, Pinky, Blinky, and Clyde as well as Pac-Man. The only gripe I have, is that I have no idea what flavor it is going to be. The only possible hint might be the Pac-Man cherries featured on the front, but that might just be part of the design.
This is a novelty drink, so my expectations were very low. When I popped the can open I was expecting a sickening smell, but it actually smelled fruity and sweet! As I poured it I saw that it was a pink/red color! The smell and look of this beverage was similar to Cherry 7-Up, which I wasn’t expecting at all.
I normally hate the taste of energy drinks, but this was really fruity and delightful! The flavor is definitely cherry, and I was shocked that I could taste a real cherry flavor. (Not artificial, but actual cherry juice!)
As  an energy drink, I did feel a boost of energy after drinking it, but I wasn’t bouncing off the walls. (Like I did with the Rock Star Iced Tea I drank earlier this year.) It has a bit of an energy-drink-aftertaste, but the cherry hides it well.
I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this beverage! I would definitely buy this again if I needed a little pick me up.
