Spinach and Feta Thin Crust Pizza - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ

Spinach and Feta Thin Crust Pizza - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ
A giant pizza for $5.99? Yes please!

I love buying these Take & Bake pizzas from Aldi. They're affordable, delicious, and you have a decent array of flavors to choose from. For the last year or so, Aldi started releasing Special Buy versions of these pizzas with fancier flavors, but they're only available for a limited time and the pricing varies due to the cost of ingredients.

Not every special buy pizza is a winner, the last two were the Philly Cheesesteak and Chicken BBQ, which were both very disappointing, but this one...I've bought three times in a month.

Cuban Pizza - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ

Cuban Pizza - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ
I mentioned this in my veggie pizza review, but a Cuban pizza was advertized in this week's Aldi circular, and I was really excited for it. Back when I was working at Panera Bread, we replaced the Chicken Bacon Dijon panini (which I loved and made my own recipe for here) with a Cuban one. While it was far from authentic Cuban cuisine, I loved the sandwich. Since then, I've had Cuban themed sandwiches from a few restaurants, but every single one I have tried has been from an American company/franchise, and this pizza was made in Germany! While I doubt I've ever had a true Cuban experience, I am fond of the versions I've had so far, and I'm excited to try it in pizza form.

Veggie Pizza - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ

Veggie Pizza - Aldi: Cherry Hill, NJ
Aldi stepped up their pizza game in 2014! There's been a new flavor combination advertized in every circular!  Sadly, I haven't tried every single one, but I have reviewed the Chicken Club, Gyro, BBQ Chicken, and Tandoori Pizzas. (Plus, they just showed a Cuban style pizza in this week's ad I'm really excited for.) Some were better than others, but I haven't regretted a purchase yet, and the prices can't be beat. (I still say Aldi's Gyro pizza was leaps and bounds better than Papa John's attempt at a Greek pizza.)

Compared to the other pizzas I've reviewed, veggie may seem a bit bland, but it's one of my favorites, so I had to give it a try.
