Jet Puffed Mallow Bites(German Chocolate Cake) - Target: Cherry Hill, NJ
Did you guys know marshmallows are great for sore throats? I’m not sure if German chocolate cake ones are, but no harm in trying!
The bag is kind of ugly. (Notice how it wasn't the first image I posted?) I have to admit the design wasn’t very appealing and the overall look wasn’t what made me pick them up. The color of brown used for the bag is a bit on the red side, and not really what I would consider a “chocolate color.” The bag is made with a foggy plastic (or the marshmallows inside made it look foggy) and the illustrations makes everything look like cousin IT from the Addams Family.
Looks aside, chocolate marshmallows and coconut? That sounds great.
The actual marshmallows are larger than the mini-variety but smaller than a full size. The marshmallows smell like toasted coconut and cocoa powder.
As far as actual taste, these are dry. VERY dry. The outside toasted coconut starts out flavorless at first, but it eventually releases coconut-y goodness as you chew. The chocolate marshmallow is actually really rich and reminds me of hot cocoa. The flavor is very nice, and the coconut adds texture, but make sure you have a drink nearby.
I think these would be amazing in hot cocoa, or warm milk, but on their own…they need a tall glass of milk.
