Mint Truffle Hershey’s Kisses - Target: Cherry Hill, NJ
Another minty holiday confection. Hershey’s released a bunch of holiday themed kisses this season,
candy cane, cherry, caramel, and mint truffle. I love minty candy
(and baking holiday goodies) so I grabbed a few different flavors.
The package feels small in my hands.
(I remember the portion being larger as a kid.)
This is definitely enough for a batch of cookies. I like the color of
the packaging and the overall design is very consistent with the
candy cane and
pumpkin spiced kisses.
(I always like consistency in packaging design.)
Removing the foil, these look like dark chocolate, and they have a nice minty smell. The scent reminds me of Andes mints.
The chocolate isn’t as dark as I would like, I like REALLY dark
chocolate, but the creamy mint center takes over right away. The
chocolate is almost more of an after-taste as the whole thing melts in
your mouth.
These were really creamy, and taste a lot like Andes mints. Lately
it seems like Andes is using a more waxy chocolate in their candy. If
you like Andes mints, but are disappointed in their chocolate, I would
recommend these as a replacement. (These would also be great melted in a cup of cocoa.)
