Like A Boss - Canned Coffee?

Premium Boss Black - Asian Food Market
(Remember when, "like a boss," was a thing?)
I think it's common knowledge that Japan loves their vending machines. You can buy hot and cold drinks, snacks, canned soups and even mystery boxes covered in ghost stories. (Okay, that last one isn't as widely known as the others.)
I've have friends that have been to japan and told me that Boss coffee was the best vending machine coffees they've ever had. I've been waiting for a can/bottle to make it's way to the Asian Food Market every since, and it's finally here!
The bottle is made of thin aluminum, like a pop-tab style can, and it is covered in bold black, gold, and red print. The design is pretty formal, and almost militaristic looking, but I'm assuming that is meant to amp up the black-ness of this coffee. (Coffee is serious business.) I'm not in love with the packaging, but it's interesting and I appreciate it for what it is and what it's trying to do.
I opened the bottle and there's this smooth roasted aroma that I can only describe as "rich coffee water," but I mean that in the most flattering way possible. It's not like the coffee was over..steeped? (Can you tell I'm more of a tea drinker?)
As I poured the coffee, bubbles formed on it's surface making this look like a glass of coke! I popped a few ice cubes in (I prefer my coffee cold) and took a sip.
Surprisingly, it's very smooth! I had expected a bold, concentrated, coffee flavoring that would shock me awake, but that isn't what this is. It's a smooth, almost creamy coffee drink that is somehow totally devoid of cream. It's lightly sweetened, so there's not need to add sugar, and it's really refreshing!
I'm a casual coffee drinker at best, but I really enjoyed this. It's a smooth, light, slightly sweet, coffee drink that can be enjoyed cold on a warm summers day, or served hot without any added cream or sugar. I don't think intense black coffee drinkers here in America would appreciate this much, since it's so light and smooth, but casual coffee drinkers would definitely enjoy this one. I sure did!

I was really surprised and excited at my first visit seeing so much discovering so much alluring foodie treasures. I am also a coffee addict and can't start my day without having heavy flavored coffee. Also sometimes enjoy cold creamy coffee especially in a summer hot day. Anyway, you made a brilliant review about boos coffee. I was really pleased to go through your canned coffee details including features description.
