Soft and Chewy Pumpkin Spice Cookies - Aldi : Medford, NJ

My boyfriend enjoys soft chewy cookies and pumpkin, so this HAD to make it’s way into my cart.
The box is very simple, and almost no frills. Not terrible, but nothing I would leave out on display. Since the cookies are soft, they are packaged in a silver bag and tray inside the box to maintain freshness. Which is a very good thing, because the icing is so soft that if they were packaged loose, it’d make a HUGE mess.
These cookies are a lot like the pumpkin pie bagel I got at Panera, the smell is more like a spicy pumpkin bread. This time I think they were a little more heavy handed with the nutmeg, which is something I like.
Soft and dense, these actually remind me of a carrot cake. Which isn’t a bad thing, as you chew the cookie the distinct pumpkin pie flavors come through and mix well with the soft icing. These are REALLY nice with a tall glass of cold milk.
On a pumpkin-y scale of 1-5 (5 being extremely pumpkin-y) I would rate this a 1.5
