Happy Thanksgiving: Here's What I Ate

What I Ate for Thanksgiving
I'm a little late, but HAPPY THANKSGIVING! (To those of you who celebrate.) I hope you were all able to fill your stomachs with delicious food.

My Thanksgiving was spent with my family over in PA. I come from a pretty small family, so there aren't many of us, but we're all very close, and I love our laid-back holiday routine. We arrive early, eat round 1 of food and appetizers (usually a layered taco dip), take a break, talk for a while, then round 2 of more food, followed by dessert.
Main Meal:
- Layered Taco dip
- Salad (romaine, dried cherries, pears, pecans, Transylvanian cheese, & balsamic)
- Turkey
- Ham
- Sweet Potatoes
- Peas & Corn
- Mashed Potatoes
- Gravy (of course)
- Orange & Cranberry Relish
- Canned Jellied Cranberry Sauce (A Thanksgiving staple)
- Dinner Rolls (potato bread based)

For dessert we had:

- Coconut Cream Pie
- Pecan Pie
- Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake
- Apple Crisp Pie
My family may be small, but we love food, so there tends to be enough for a small army.

We usually end the night by watching a movie together, but this year we watched the first episode of Westworld instead. My mom and step-dad are always the first people I know to get into cool new shows, and this was their latest pick. Before this they got us into Game of Thrones and Downton Abby, and this new show didn't disappoint. I'm hooked.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and holiday. Before we get into full-blown-Christmas reviews, I have a few more pumpkin items to finish up before the year is out. So be on the look out for tomorrow's pumpkin-tastic post!

    1. Yup! They're in their 50's, but they've got the best taste in shows. They were the first people I knew to get into Game of Thrones, Ripper Street, and Westworld. They're so cool. lol
