Pumpkin Froyo - Gift: Frusen Berri (Quickie Review)

Pumpkin Froyo - Gift: Frusen Berri
I am going to try and knock out a bunch of pumpkin items tonight when I get home from work, but I'm finally able to see the light at the end of the pumpkin tunnel!

For today's post I have some fro-yo that was given to me...a little while ago. As you'll see, it has a few ice crystals cause it's been in my fridge longer than it should have, but I didn't want it to go to waste, so I'm gonna review it anyway.

The packaging is nothing to write home about, it's a waxy paper cup with a protective dome lid. It works, the logo is colorful and playful, and it kept my fro-yo relatively safe in my freezer.

Inside, this "pumpkin" frozen yogurt is actual a swirled mixture of the tangy original (plain frozen yogurt) and an orange-y stripe of pumpkin. Sure there are ice crystals, but that won't stop this food hoarder reviewer.

The white portion tastes tangy and enjoyable, but it's the same as every other "original" or "plain" frozen yogurt I've ever had. I like it, but the flavor of it isn't enough to make me want this specific brand of plain yogurt over any other.

As for the orange-colored pumpkin mixture, it tastes pretty good. There is a decent amount of pumpkin pie filling flavoring, some spices, and even a hint of pulpy texture as if real pumpkins were used in making it. It's not overly sweet, but I did find myself getting a little bored of it on it's own. I think it's best when eaten together with the original fro-yo. The tanginess really cuts through all the pumpkin flavoring to keep things fresh and interesting.
On a Pumpkin Scale of 1-5 (5 being the most pumpkin-y) I’d give this a 2.5. The orange portion has a lovely amount of pumpkin flavoring, but it isn't very addicting or overwhelming. It kind of becomes bland and my palette gets a bit bored of it after a few bites, but when it's paired with the tangy plain yogurt, it helps to keep things interesting.
