Usually I'm trying something for the first time and giving you my first impressions, but this time I have a product that I love and want to share. In fact, I loved this so much that I've already bought it three times. I can't even tell you the last time that happened.Being a lover of all things banana, I picked this up on a whim and planned on reviewing it, but never got around to it. Eventually I just cracked into the box for a quick and easy snack for work, and it was love at first bite.
Since the crust is dry and flavorless, easily the worst part of any Pop-Tart, they really need to nail it on the icing and filling. And they did. The icing is sweet and sugary, but not too sweet, and the filling has a lovely caramelized banana flavor. To me, this tastes like a delicious, frosted, banana muffin.I've eaten them cold for the most part, out of convenience, but I have tried them toasted and they're great both ways. Cold, I get more of the banana muffin experience, but toasted gives this more of a Banana's Foster feel.
As I said earlier, I've already bought the family sized box three times, so no guessing games here. I like these. A lot.I never got to try the Banana Creme Pie version, but if it was anything like this, I really missed out. If you like banana flavored pastries, or sweets, definitely give this one a try and let me know what you think!
