Cola Fettuccine Gummi - Asian Food Markets

Cola Fettuccine Gummi - Asian Food Markets
Think last week sugared me out? Think again! Gummi candy is my absolute favorite! When I was in high school I would go to the mall every weekend, not to hang out and get cool clothes like the rest of my peers, but to stuff a plastic bag with various gummi creatures at the (now closed) bulk candy store. Back then I may or may not have "freed" some large gummi sharks into the food court water fountain. Ah, those were good times. (Especially for my dentist. Pretty sure my teenage cavities personally paid for his kid to go to college. You're welcome! Also, yes, I'm still stuck in a Maui-hole. Send help.)

Let's rack up more dental bills and munch on some cola candy!

I've reviewed Fettuccine gummis on the blog before and, as always, I am a big fan of the packaging. This foiled plastic pouch is resealable, and it's the perfect size to stash in my purse for on-the-go snacking, and it looks great! We've got appealing soda imagery, images of the actual product, and bright red accents. I love it!

Inside the bag are thin, rectangular, noodle-gummy strips. Each coated in a thick layer of sour sanding sugar. They smell just like all the other cola flavored gummies I've ever had, which is a sweet, but flat, cola aroma with a hint of lemon, and they're a light tan coloring.
When it comes to gummi candies, I'm a savor-er. I like to take my time and enjoy the flavors and textures, so for me, each strip is 2-bites worth, but other less meticulous snackers might just toss one or multiple strips into their mouths at once with little to no issue.
Anticlimactic, but these taste just like the Fizzy Haribo gummi cola bottles I've had from Five Below. You can buy decent sized bags of Haribo products there for $1.00 each, which is a great deal. These? Not so much. They're an imported product, so they ended up costing almost twice as much as the Haribo while giving you a lot less product.
Let's be honest, there are a LOT of gummi candies out there, and plenty of cola-flavored ones to boot, so this isn't a revolutionary product. Still, I do really like it. The size and thickness of these gummi noodles makes them very easy to snack on, while still being satisfying, and I love that the bag is resealable and very purse-friendly.

You guys know me, I'm cheap frugal, and I'm really practical. It goes against my frugal nature, since you get more candy-bang-for-your-buck with a bag of Haribo cola gummies I suggest most of you stick with those, but, to be honest...I'd buy these again. (Just not very often.)
