Are you going to go to the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival?

Click HERE to see the full list of events
It's that time of year again!

Local crafters and artists, as well as Japanese confectioneries and snack trucks, will be parked at the Horticultural Center in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park to sell their wares and (hopefully) watch the cherry blossoms bloom.

Strawberry Ramune - Sweet Sugary Nectar of the Gods

Strawberry Ramune
Another treat from the Subaru Sakura Festival. Strawberry Ramune! I love this stuff, although it is so insanely sweet! (I collect the marbles from inside the bottles too!)

Tuna Onigiri

Tuna Onigiri
Another treat my boyfriend picked up at the Cherry Blossom Festival! Tuna Onigiri!

He really enjoyed it. Years ago I made onigiri before with my sister but we just filled them with random things we had around. This one was filled with cooked tuna. Yummm.

Sakuranbo, Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival in Philadelphia

Sakuranbo, Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival in Philadelphia
A yummy little treat my boyfriend bought at the local Cherry Blossom Festival.

Look at the super cute packaging! It's so freaking adorable!

Sakuranbo is a soft gelatine-based dessert with a sweet cherry in the middle. The jelly outside wasn’t as firm as jello, but it has a similar mouth feel. It was gritty with sweetener and absolutely delicious! The cherry was ripe and sweet, but we had to be a little careful because the pit was still inside. This was a delicious little dessert item I would love to recreate at home.
