Giant Strawberry Caplico - Sun Seng Market

Giant Strawberry Caplico - Sun Seng Market
I'm counting this as a Valentine's Day product because it's pink. Plus I have a huge foodie backlog, so reviews are going up faster than ever before! I need to get this stuff 'outta here pronto before TLC show up at my house with cameras and a dumpster.
Caplico, not to be confused with the beverage Calpico, are little wafer-style ice cream cones and filled with solid, but bubbly, chocolate. Usually they are really tiny candies, but this Caplico in particular is GIANT. So it's pretty much the same size as a real ice cream cone! So, it looks like ice cream, but does it taste like ice cream?

Berry Carnival Pocky - Asian Food Market: Cherry Hill, NJ

Berry Carnival Pocky - Asian Food Market: Cherry Hill, NJ
It's snowing again, and instead of digging out my car like a responsible adult, I'm going to stay inside and review a tropical pack of Pocky featuring a toucan. (I think I've got this life thing figured out.)

Coffee and Almond Chocolate Crush Pocky - Philadelphia's Chinatown, PA

Coffee and Almond Chocolate Crush Pocky - Asian Food Market: Cherry Hill, NJ
It's been a while since I've reviewed Pocky, I think the last time was back in September when I found that Rare Cheesecake flavor in Chinatown, but I haven't seen any new flavors in my area. I'm not sure if they just aren't being imported like they used to, or if there haven't been that many new flavors released in Asia (which I doubt), but I got my hands on two new boxes to review.

Let's start with this coffee and chocolate Almond Crush Pocky!

Rare Cheesecake Pocky - ??? : Chinatown, Philadelphia, PA

Rare Cheesecake Pocky - ??? : Chinatown, Philadelphia, PA
It's been a while since I have reviewed Pocky, so here is a snazzy flavor new flavor that was released this summer.
What is "Rare Cheesecake?" Some kind of fancy hard to find cheese? Nope, it's actually a no-bake cheesecake, so the "rare" refers to being uncooked like a rare steak. We have no-bake cheesecakes here in the states as well, but the ones served in Asian have a very different taste. Cake may vary, because all bakers make everything a little differently, but rare cheesecakes can taste very, well, cheesy. In America we tend to prefer a standard cream cheese flavoring for the base but Asian cheesecakes can occasionally have a truly cheesy taste with strong lemon flavoring. Again, it varies from bake shop to bake shop, but you might get something that tastes completely different from the standard, American, cheesecake.
On to the review...

Strawberry Heart Shaped Pocky,Chinatown PA

Strawberry Heart Shaped Pocky,Chinatown PA
Now I have had Strawberry Pocky before, but this is different. I have been hunting for this heart shaped one ever since I saw it on the net!

Normal Strawberry Pocky has a basic biscuit stick and a pale pink strawberry-flavored confectionery coating. This one is similar, it had a heart shaped basic biscuit stick but the strawberry coating is darker and has deep red flecks.
