Turkey Stuffing Crackers - Aldi

American Thanksgiving is upon us, and if I had to pick a favorite side dish, it would be stuffing. Like pizza, it's hard for me to find a "bad" stuffing. (For the record, my aunt Missy makes my absolute favorite version,) but boxed mixes will do in a pinch. The combination of warm bread with herbs and spices is comforting, which must be why so many brands this year released stuffing themed products.

Normally there are a few here and there, like the Boulder kettle chips I had a few years ago, but this year companies really outdid themselves with house-branded stuffing items. I grabbed a few to try this year.

First up, these stuffing themed crackers from Aldi.

On Monday, we review Wednesday

Limited Edition Wednesday Addams Gushers

Wednesday, the Netflix series, came out in 2022. It was very popular, mostly for Jenny Ortega's viral dancing, but it WAS a while ago. Which is why I find it strange that they waited until 2024 to release a bunch of products Wednesday themed food products. (Season two won't be airing until 2025.) I get that she's' spooky, and it's Halloween, but is that enough?

Pepsi BIG Cola

I don't know what this is.

I bought it because it looked cool, and I like Pepsi, but I really don't understand what's going on here. Why, "BIG?"

Using a translator, the text says this is "fresh cola spice" flavored, but isn't that what normal Pepsi tastes like? It also states that they used a non-heat based bottling system to give it the "highest level of exhilaration." But what does that mean? I'm guessing more carbonation?

Originally I assumed this had more caffeine than usual, but now I don't think that's the case either. I'll just have to drink it and see.

Lay's Rooty Tooty Fresh 'n Fruity Potato Chips

I've been struggling to focus on anything outside of my 9-5 job for a while now, and I hate it. Outside of recaring for the insane amount of animals in my house right now (11!), I do the bare minimum for myself and then rot while I'm doom-scrolling or watching various media (FYI Arcane Season 2 dropped!) But tomorrow is trash night, so I am using that as motivation to photograph or write up things that have been backlogged.

Starting with these IHOP themed chips.

A-Peel-ing Banana Bread Pop-tarts

Usually I'm trying something for the first time and giving you my first impressions, but this time I have a product that I love and want to share. In fact, I loved this so much that I've already bought it three times. I can't even tell you the last time that happened.

Wednesday Whopper (Addams Family Items)

Halloween is the only time of year where I eat Burger King. It may be my least favorite fast food option, but I fully support their commitment to strangely colorful burgers.

I've already had:

The HA1loween Burger, which had a black-bun infused with A1 sauce.

The Nightmare King - a monstrous combination of a beef patty, chicken patty, and bacon topped with a green bun

The Ghost Pepper Whopper - infused with ghost peppers, topped with a bright orange bun

So we've had black, green, orange and now, PURPLE!

Welp, that was unexpected.

(Enjoy this photo of Daphne in all her Halloween glory.)

I drank 3/4th of that Chery Cola flavored Olipop before giving up on it and pouring the rest down the drain. Disappointing, but no big deal. I figured I'd try the other flavor tomorrow and went to bed. Everything was fine. Until it wasn't.

I woke up in the middle of the night with stomach pains and nausea. I tried to sleep it off, but it continued for DAYS. It wasn't debilitating. I could still eat and drink, I wasn't throwing up or having any other issues, but I experienced constant nausea, fatigue, and painful intermittent cramping. I still made it into work and handled my daily tasks, while eating plainer foods and taking a bunch of antacids and other stomach medications but it wasn't going away. Then, right before I went into Urgent Care, it stopped.

I have no idea what the cause was. Maybe the source of the fiber in the drink was too intense for my system, maybe stevia needs to be added to my list of sweeteners my body just can't handle, or maybe I caught a random unrelated virus at the exact same time. It completely derailed all my posting and spooky season plans.

So (as usual) I'll be posting a bunch of Halloween goodies off-season. Get ready for a bunch of Novemberween posts (starting today!)
