Chicken & Waffle Chicken Chunks - Aldi

Chicken & Waffle Chicken Chunks - Aldi
Chris B. over on Facebook nailed it! The photo I posted the other day was chicken and waffles! Well, not really, but it's chicken & waffle flavored, so that totally counts.

I posted this item on Instagram nearly a month ago, and I thought it was pretty interesting, but I didn't buy it. After a few more grocery runs I saw the supply dwindling, so I figured I better give these a try before they sold out. (If they're selling they must be good, right? I'm a sheeple.)

Trader Joe's Chicken Tikka Masala - Trader Joe's: Marlton, NJ

Trader Joe's Chicken Tikka Masala - Trader Joe's: Marlton, NJ
It's rainy and gross here in New Jersey, and I have absolutely no energy, so it's going to be a lazy lunch/dinner kind of week. Unlike a lot of my reviews, where I'm eating an item for the first time, this is an item I buy every now and again for days like today when water seeps into my sneakers and soaks my socks. (The worst feeling ever.) I hadn't really planned on reviewing this item, but I figured I might as well review it.

Lean Cuisine Marketplace Sweet and Sour Chicken - Target: Marlton, NJ

Lean Cuisine Marketplace Sweet and Sour Chicken - Target: Marlton, NJ
Sweet and Sour Chicken is something that all frozen dinner brands seem to offer. It's one of my guilty pleasures that I always keep on hand, although I'm not loyal to any one brand over another. I usually go with what's the cheapest, but I saw there was a new contender in the freezer aisle, and it's packaging was much fancier than the others, so I thought I'd pick it up and do a review. (Plus I was already tired and hungry after work, so it was the perfect lazy dinner night.)

Crispy Oven Baked Wings

Crispy Oven Baked Wings- Pinterest Recipe Review : The PIN The RECIPE
Today I have another post based on my YouTuber obsession, this time I was inspired by Chef John from FoodWishes.com. As the name suggests, he's a chef and he's a YouTuber, I've been subscribed to him for a long time now and I've tried several of his recipes. (All of them worked out great.) Yesterday I found a bag of chicken wings in my freezer, and I figured I might as well try out his method for making oven-baked wings that are (nearly) as crispy as fried ones. The results? SUCCESS!

Pumpkin Pizza - Homemade Recipe

Pumpkin Pizza - Homemade Recipe
This is a little recipe I have been thinking about and testing since last fall. Although I don't think it's 100% perfect (yet) it's pretty darn tasty.

Pretzel Bacon Burger - Wendy's : Pennsauken, NJ

Pretzel Bacon Burger
- Wendy's : Pennsauken, NJ
Meet my latest junk food addiction.
I rarely eat fast food, but when I do it's either Wendy's or White Castle. I haven't had McDonalds since I saw Supersize Me in the early 2000's, and I haven't had Chick-fil-a since their big anti-gay marriage scandal.  Since my beloved White Castle is an hour away in Toms River, Wendy's has become my go-to fast food joint.

Since fast food is typically not much to look at, I'll skip the aesthetics and get right into the review.

Corned Beef Panini - Wildwood Bagel : Wildwood, NJ

Corned Beef  Panini - Wildwood Bagel : Wildwood, NJ
I went to Wildwood this weekend with my boyfriend and our first stop was Wildwood Bagel. Don't let the name fool you. This place has a great lunch menu. In fact, I reviewed a panini from Wildwood Bagel before. Check out this link to read my review of the Honey Mustard Chicken panini.

Does that sandwich sound familiar? It should. I recently posted a panini recipe that is very similar to this one. (A year ago I mentioned that this panini reminded me of Panera's chicken bacon Dijon, so really all three sandwiches are very similar.)
I was really tempted to get the same panini I ordered last year, but I wanted to try something new. My boyfriend suggested we each pick one and share.
So I had...

  • 1/2 Honey Mustard Chicken Panini
  • 1/2 Corned Beef Panini

Both sandwiches are served on ciabatta bread with a bag of chips and a pickle spear.

Honey Mustard Chicken and Bacon Panini - recipe

Honey Mustard Chicken and Bacon Panini - HomemadeThe Bread Recipe
Remember THIS awesome bread recipe I reviewed?
I used it to make these paninis! (That was pretty obvious, huh?)
Like most of you know, I used to work at Panera Bread and I am still obsessed with their food. One of my favorite paninis was the (now discontinued) Chicken Bacon Dijon. I worked at every station at Panera and I usually made all of the paninis each weekend, so I knew what was in it. What's to stop me from recreating it on my own?

Panera Bread You Pick Two - Panera Bread Moorestown, NJ

Panera Bread You Pick Two
- Panera Bread Moorestown, NJ
I love Panera! I worked there for several years as a trainer, and I love their products and their company. Best job I had ever had, but that was thanks to the wonderful staff and management team. My sister was going to Panera with a friend and asked if I wanted anything, so I ordered this yummy masterpiece!

Bacon Turkey Bravo (no tomatoes and extra Bravo-sauce), is delicious. This sandwich has sweet tomato basil bread, bravo sauce (1000 island dressing), romaine lettuce, Gouda cheese, roasted turkey and bacon. It is delicious! Gouda cheese is the bacon of cheeses. If you haven’t already, be sure to try it!

The other half of my You Pick Two was the Strawberry Poppy seed and Chicken salad. It’s romaine lettuce, chicken and fresh fruits served with a sweet oniony-poppy-seed dressing. I used to hate this dressing when I worked at Panera. It did not look very appealing, but it is delicious! Especially with strawberries. On my break I used to get a bowl of cut up berries, drizzle this dressing on top, and have it for lunch. It’s summery and refreshing.

I don’t think I have ever met someone who did not enjoy Panera Bread’s food. If you haven’t had it, be sure to give them a try!
