Remember the Wasabi and Ginger Kettle chips from the Lay's Do Us a Flavor Contest? (I think they were from the second ever contest.) They were delicious, with a sushi-like profile thanks to the wasabi and ginger with a hit of soy sauce. I was sad to see them go, but I feel like their execution needed a bit of work. They were good, but not perfect. Still, it's a flavor profile that doesn't have any equivalent in the American potato chip market. Until now.
Woo, the long weekend is (sadly) over and it's back to the daily grind. I have a quick snack review to get myself back into the swing of things, so here we go!
It's Meatless Monday again, and this time I'm reviewing a slightly different kind of seaweed snack.
I've reviewed two different flavors of these Choi's seaweed snacks in the past, Teriyaki and Hot & Spicy. Both were enjoyable, but I saved my favorite for last!
In 2014, I went wasabi crazy. I bought tubes of it to add to my food at home, bought these wasabi seaweed snacks from Wegman's, wasabi pea crackers, and I ate 5 bags worth of Shirakiku Wasabi Mate last year. That might not seem like a lot, but that large green bag contains several small bags, and as I type this, I have another bag next to me, already open, and ready to feed my wasabi addicition in 2015. I may or may not have a problem. No, really, I might actually have a problem. My tolerance to the wasabi is building up and I'm not getting the same satisfying burn from my favorite snacks that I used to. This specific package of seaweed claims to be "hot," so I am hoping these seaweed snacks can help me get to the next level of wasabi goodness.
Last time I reviewed the flavor finalist that I was least excited about (which you can read here) so, instead turning my posts into a count down of least to best, I decided to jump right to my favorite of the four, the Wasabi Ginger kettle chips.

I know Easter is quickly approaching, and I should be reviewing the Easter themed candies in my stash, but I was craving something spicy, so it's time to open up this bag of wasabi flavored Pea Crackers!
These crispy little seaweed sheets have been my go-to snack for the last month. I bought my first package back in February when it was a new item, and I meant to review it, but I got a little hungry. Eight packages later, and here I am finally posting a review.
