Pin-pointing 2022 Voo-Dew's Flavor

Hello, I just woke up from an unplanned post-work couch-nap and now I'm about to drink a bottle of Mystery Mountain Dew at 11:45PM on a work night.

In other totally great life-decision news, I still have an unopened bottle of 2021 Voo-Dew in my fridge that I never tried! It's over a year old at this point, but I'm sure it's probably fine, should I still review it?

One bad decision at a time, tonight, let's crack open the 2022 Voo-Dew and see what it's all about!

Double Dose of Melon Goodness - Haribo Watermelon and Major Melon MTN Dew

Watermelon Haribo & Major Melon MTN Dew

Spring has sprung, literally yesterday, but I'm already craving summer, and nothing says "summer" like watermelon. I have two different products today, one a candy, the other essentially humming bird nectar, who wants to take bets that I'll be bouncing off the walls later?

The Power of VOO-DEW (Who Dew?) You Dew!

Mountain Dew Voo-Dew  - 7-Eleven
Move over Japan, America has it's own spooky mystery soda! What am I talking about? Well a few years ago Pepsi released spooky Halloween-themed mystery flavored cola in Japan. And I bought some on eBay and made a YouTube video about it because I love Halloween and I had a lot more free time back then. (I miss those days.) Check out the video below:
As you can see, the Pepsi bottles had really cute labels (really really cute) but the flavor was subtle and a bit of a let-down. But, if all of Mountain Dew's other limited edition and seasonal flavors are any indication, this time things will be different.

Tastes Like Freedom - Mountain Dew Liberty Brew (50 Flavors in one)

Mountain Dew Liberty Brew - Wawa
First off, let me applaud Mountain Dew for creating the blue toilet-bowl-cleaner soda color of my 90's-kid dreams. Visually I am having flashbacks to Pepsi Blue and I am 100% here for it, but as I got closer I realized that it smells like a bomb pop. So American, it's amazing! If there are 50 different flavors here, which I kind of doubt, they all must be fruit-based. Actually, aren't all Mountain Dew flavors fruit based? They don't have a cola flavor, so maybe this is the mixed-fruit-smoothie of all their fruity flavorings mixed into one? (With added blue dye because I am sure the true color of a dew-strocity would be nightmareish to say the least.)
Time to see if I can taste the Dew-infused rainbow!

Crafted Dark Berry Mountain Dew Black Label - Asian Food Market

Crafted Dark Berry Mountain Dew Black Label - Asian Food Market
We're only ten days into the new year and I'm already dead on my feet. I've got places to go, things to do, reviews to write..I don't have time to take a nap! Most people in my situation would grab a cup of coffee, or drink an energy drink, but that's a little too intense for me. Energy drinks always upset my stomach, and coffee gives me heartburn. What am I to Dew? (See what I did there?)

Mountain Dew Lemonade Game Fuel - Gift

Mountain Dew Lemonade Game Fuel - Gift
I think I mentioned this back in my Baja Blast review, but my boyfriend loves trying new Mountain Dew flavors. Last weekend I was walking around Target and I spotted a really large Call of Duty display loaded up with the typical packages of Doritos and gamer themed Mountain Dew sodas. Apparently "Gamer Fuel" was rebranded as "Game Fuel," and along side the classic Code Red flavor there was a case of this new lemonade themed one.

Since I don't follow Mountain Dew products and flavors too closely, I wasn't sure if the flavor was truly new, and I didn't want to buy a whole case of soda cans just to review it.  I snapped a shot of the display with my phone and sent it to my boyfriend to let him know about the flavor. A few days later, he comes home with two bottles so that I can review it without committing to a case! (Which was really awesome.) So let's pop this bottle open and see what lemonade flavored Dew is all about.

Baja Blast Mountain Dew - 7-Eleven

Baja Blast Mountain Dew - 7-Eleven
I am very very far from having a healthy diet (as you can tell from the contents of this blog), but I pride myself on my love of water. Whenever I'm not reviewing some crazy beverage for this blog, I am drinking tons of water. Most of the time I drink it chilled, and occasionally I'll add a lemon wedge or a cinnamon stick (which sounds weird but it is AMAZING), so these quirky beverages I review are a rare treat for me.

With that being said, Mountain Dew may be one of the most sugary sodas on the market. It's very brightly colored, artificially flavored, and it targets the gamer market. This company always comes out with new and interesting limited/exclusive flavors so, as a foodie, how can I not give it a try?
