There's another new pizza over at Papa John's, this time they are going for a Greek theme. Although I wasn't a fan of the Sweet Chili Chicken pizza, this one looka a little boring by comparison, but I still plan on giving it a try. (Maybe this weekend.)
It may be considered "limited edition," but this yogurt has (supposedly) been available for 3 months. I've been trying to track it down, and just when I stopped looking, I found two little containers at Walmart while I was buying a Spider-Man gift-bag of all things. (Yay for random foodie finds!)
Avocado is one of those trendy (and healthy) foods I never really got into...until now. I don't know what happened, I've always enjoyed it, but lately I have been trying to find a way to get avocado into everything I eat.
It's in my quesadillas, my sushi bowls, and now my tortilla chips. Will these taste as good as the real thing?
This month, along with all the gluten free goodies, Aldi got a bunch of fancy frozen pizzas. Normally I stick to veggie pizzas, but this one caught my eye.
Unlike my other reviews, this one is going to focus on just one flavor, so this will be short and to the point.
I was originally going to review all of the Sour Patch Kid flavors, but they are such a popular candy that I don't think it would be considered new for any of you. Instead, I'm just going to focus on the new blue flavor that has been added to the original Sour Patch line-up.
I hope all of you Americans were able to enjoy the nice weather and remember all of those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today. I may not agree with every military action or war, but I will always support the individual troops who put themselves in harms way for the sake of their loved ones.
On a less serious note, Memorial Day has become synonymous with burgers, hot dogs, and grilling. I picked up these flavored sausages at Aldi to add a little variety to my Memorial Day meal.
When we have to run errands on the weekends my boyfriend and I like to walk around and check out all their new/weird items that are on the shelves, normally we window shop, but this package caught my boyfriend's eye.
I picked these up on the same day as the Birthday Frosting variety. Admittedly I am more of an Oreo cookie fan than the creme filling, but I couldn't pass up the chance to try something new.
What is with this birthday cake trend? I don't understand why there is a sudden obsession with things tasting like "Birthday Cake" when it isn't even a real flavor. According to M&M's it's chocolate cake with white icing, Krispy Kreme seems to think it's a vanilla cake with vanilla icing, and now Chips Ahoy is peddling this version with yellow cake. (I blame 50 Cent and Katy Perry.NolinkforyouKatyI'maGagafan.) Enough rambling, let's see if these cookies are worth the hype and if they are as bad for you and they appear to be.

This has been in my cabinet for a while, so I'm not sure if Target still carries this, but I still wanted to post a quickie review. (First world food hoarder problems.) So my boyfriend and I cooked it up and ate it along with some homemade buffalo chicken spring rolls and garlic bread. (It was a very odds and ends kind of night.)

I am finally getting around to reviewing all of the items from THIS Asian food haul!
Most of the interesting foods I find are sweets, so I always look forward to eating something savory, so let's get right to the review!
Buying new items at wholesale clubs can be risky. It's one thing to buy something you already enjoy in bulk, but it's another to totally take a risk buying large amount of potentially gross food. (I have been burned before.) Normally BJ's and other wholesale clubs hand out samples to let you know about new products before you buy them, which is really helpful, but that wasn't the case for this item.
My curiosity, and love of pistachios, lead me to this huge box of biscotti-like crisps and even though I knew nothing about this product...I bought it.
Let's hope that these almond thins are delicious, or else I'm stuck with 14 more packages of them.
Remember when I was making all those Walmart runs to find those Fruit Punch Oreos? After several unsuccessful trips, I started buying random food items to review just to make the trip seem worth it.
This is one of those items.
New burger chains have been popping up all over my area. There's Wayback Burger, Bobby's Burger Palace, and now...Smash Burger.
Somehow my mother got some coupons for Smash Burger, I'm guessing some kind of promo since they are new in the area, so she picked a little something up for me to review. (Thanks mom!)
You have to admit, this combination is kind of a no-brainer, but I don't think anyone has ever done it before. (At least not in ice cream form.) This item was posted on The Impulsive Buy a few days ago, and I knew I had to get it for this weekend.
As I have mentioned before, my boyfriend loves coffee, but he also loves ice cream, and this week was very tiring and trying for both of us, so a little ice creamy treat was well deserved. Let's see if this frozen breakfast-y flavor combination is actually successful!
Feel like you can never get enough sushi? Neither can I, so I made giant sushi style rice bowls with my boyfriend and the results were delicious!
If you follow me on instagram this dish might look familiar, basically I wanted to see if I could make something simple to satisfy my sushi cravings at home, and I did!
I plan on making this again in the near future, and when I do I'll have my proper photo set-up near by, but these are the only pictures I have of the original recipe-test-run.
My boyfriend grabbed a little bag of these as part of my Easter gift and, although Candy Blog has a really accurate and thorough review, I couldn't resist the chance to try them for myself.
I reviewed the Vanilla version a while ago, and I really wanted to like it, but I didn't. In fact, the botanical and medicine-like taste is what made me put off reviewing another flavor in this line for so long.
It's safe to say that I am not going into this soda review with high hopes, but I also don't like wasting food or money. So let's get this post started!
It's nation hamburger month! (Which is apparently a real thing.) Therefore I plan on reviewing a different burger once or twice a week for the rest of May.
To kick things off, I decided to check out The Pop Shop in Collingswood because they have a menu featuring a different burger each day.

This year Stride released two Sour Patch Kids related chewing gums, this "redberry" and a lime version.
Brands teaming up to make a new product has been all the rage. We have Arizona and Dunkin' Donuts, Rita's and Swedish Fish (or Starbursts), and now this. Since the red sour patch kids are my favorite, I'm excited to give this a try. (I hope it tastes like the real thing.)
Octobus balls! Don't worry, I haven't gone Bear Grylls on all of you. These aren't balls as in testicles (never thought I'd have to type that on a food blog), these are spheres of fried dough filled with cabbage and a little chunk of octopus.
A few years ago my boyfriend went to Japan for a college course on psychology, and while he was there he had some delicious street food. This is one of the items he's been craving since he's returned, so I found a frozen version in H-mart to try and satisfy his craving.
Is this new? These coffee flavored protein shakes seem really familiar, but they might be new to the Special K brand.
There's also a strawberry banana one, which I haven't seen before, but that appears to be an older flavor. To be honest I am more interested in the strawberry banana version than the fancy coffee ones. Have any of you tried it? If so, what did you think?

This new flavor had me a bit skeptical, but I decided to try it anyway. I don't follow sports, so the only way I know our local teams win is when I receive a 50% off coupon in my email. (Go sports! Yay pizza!) I figured it was pretty cheap, since I got a smaller pizza, and the last new pizza I tried turned out to be really yummy, so why not give this new flavor a try?
It's Cinco de Mayo everyone! This year I decided to make some chicken and veggie quesadillas with avocado, salsa, and horchata.
Before I start talking about the food I'm going to have a little holiday-related rant, so feel free to skip the text under the cut and move on to the photos.
When I saw this in the seasonal clearance aisle I was really curious about what "jelly bean" would taste like. I mean, jelly beans are individual fruity (or spiced) flavors, how can you make something taste like a jelly bean without it being a specific fruity flavor? I am guessing that the cotton candy inside is fruity flavored and that the "jelly bean" aspect is just to get in on the seasonal market, but I can never pass up cheap cotton candy.
Let's see what this is all about.
Another item from my Easter Basket Haul. I've never seen this product before, have any of you? I think these are just white chocolate coated pretzel nuggets, so as far as snack items go, this is pretty generic. This brand of snack foods makes some really awesome potato chips, but I don't recall them making too many sweets. (Other than these new sweet potato chips.)
To be honest, I'm not too sure about this one...
This weekend I'll be reviewing some Easter sweets. I know they're a little out of season, but all of of this year's Easter candy is still on clearance, so maybe these reviews will let you know which items to pick up, and which to pass by. (At the very least you'll know what to look for next year.)
